Facebook Users Remain Unaware Of Targeted Advertising Practices

Most Facebook users are unaware the social media giant is tracking their personal traits and interests and listing them for advertisers on its website, according to a new study by the Pew Research Center.
The survey found that nearly three-quarters of respondents were unaware the social media network harvested a list of their interests and traits for the purpose of targeted advertising, according to Tech Crunch. Facebook users queried by Pew only became aware of this when researchers suggested they view their ad preferences on the social networking site.
