Time Warner’s focus on targeted advertising According to a Broadcasting & Cable report, last month, Fox, Viacom (VIAB), and Time Warner (TWX) joined forces to provide a platform called OpenID, which will provide advertisers with targeted advertising packages and will “standardize the reporting of the size of the audience.”Time Warner also said at the Deutsche Bank Media, Internet and Telecom Conference last month that AT&T’s proposed acquisition could help the company in terms of advertising. The company pointed out that it had observed that its content, even if extremely popular among viewers, was still not popular across all demographics.
